I made a gift for a coworker who is leaving for new adventures this week. We share a love of Julep nail polish so a travel pack was a must!
The free Snappy Mani Pouch pattern made for a quick sew with fabric from my collection.
I had a bit of trouble getting the sides by the elastic to lie flat. I cut it a little short as the Julep polishes are straight and I wanted to make sure they were held in place. As normal, following the directions and leaving it the recommended 9″ (23 cm) would have worked better. (One day I will learn to follow directions, promise!)
I used cotton quilt batting between the layers which provides good cushioning for the polish bottles. I used plastic snaps or you could use aplix.
I really love how this turned out and I hope I have enough of this material left to make myself one. Paired it with a jewelry pouch for a quick easy sew travel gift.
